To safely replace the electronic head from your tank please follow these steps exactly. Failure to do so may result in injury or property damage.
- Put system in bypass (turn both blue flanges to off).
- Run full regeneration cycle via the app to depressurize the tank. If you cannot connect to the head via app do this: hold down the set/change button for 3 seconds, let go, and then hold it down again for 3 seconds. You will hear the head start making a winding noise if you do it correctly. The regeneration cycle will take approximately 45 - 90 mins.
- Disconnect the head w/tank from the blue flanged bypass valve. Leave the bypass valve plumbed in. You will still have water to the house because the system is in bypass.
- Disconnect the drain line from the head by removing the blue retainer pin and popping off the drain line fitting.
- Carefully unscrew the head.
- Remove black brine line from Brine Tank by holding the grey/black collar on the plunger assembly and pulling the black line out.
- Screw on the new head and attach the drain line.
- Put the system back in service and run a regen cycle to re-pressurize the tank.
